Illinois Speaks Pilsen at La Catrina Cafe

February 28, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us for this month’s Illinois Speaks where we’ll talk about how to preserve heritage in a changing community.

To promote productive public discussions on the issues that matter to the community, Illinois Speaks Pilsen holds monthly small-group conversations that aim to bring people with diverse experiences and perspectives together to talk with, hear from, and learn from neighbors.

This month, we’ll welcome Bonnie McDonald (Landmarks Illinois) and Magda Castaneda (Pilsen Alliance), who’ll give us their lay of the land and then we’ll open things up to hear your thoughts on what it means to preserve a neighborhood’s heritage at a moment of great change.

All are welcome and there’ll be snacks and drinks! A big thank you to Byron Sigcho for moderating the discussion.
