How to Create Your Own Comic Book

May 15, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - May 22, 2016 @ 3:00 pm

“HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN COMIC BOOK”
A comic book artist is an artist who works to develop a story through images, dialogue and storytelling. Students will learn the different areas of this process by penciling, inking, coloring and lettering their own tales. Through these techniques they will bring their stories to life by taking this class.

Pilsen Outpost is excited to be working with artist Ken Ray in teaching you how to create your very own comic book!

About the Artist:
Ken Ray has been developing his creative and artistic talents in illustration and graphic design since he attended both Columbia and Malcolm X Colleges. He began his art instruction career through the Mayor’s Educational Program in 1998. Currently, he teaches basic art and illustration in the Chicago Public Schools. He will combine these skills to teach the “How to Create Your Own Comic Book” class at the Pilsen Outpost Gallery.
