Great Fires at Co-Prosperity

March 21, 2014 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

$10

Great Fires, produced in partnership with The Stockyard Institute, is a living museum of Chicago past, present, and mythological. The guide is Mrs. O’Leary, the Chicagoan famously accused of starting the Great Fire of 1871 in her Near-West Side barn.

White Elephant commissioned six Chicago-based artists to create short performance pieces inspired by some aspect of Chicago’s heritage. White Elephant curates these performances in a theatrical museum of Chicago lore—the good, the bad, the factual, the mythological.
