Gozamos’ First Ever Wine Tasting, Blind Tasting

Let’s be frank. When I bring up “Things Better Done In The Dark” with friends or even strangers on the street, the same answer crops up over and over: sex. For those of you who disagree, the argument is obvious: A naked body, especially when it’s our significant other, is strangely compelling; we just can’t get enough. Mostly, though, we’re all a light switch away from being totally sexy because vision can be that much of a hindrance. This same phenomenon also occurs with wine tasting but wine tasting by another name: blind tasting.

On Tuesday, June 21st, Gozamos will be hosting its first wine tasting. And it’s about time! We’ll forego blindfolds for something a little closer to low lighting while learning about assessing wine like a sommelier would. This means we’ll use the sommelier’s approach to assessing a wine at an actual blind tasting to get an idea of just how important and unimportant your peepers really are. Artisanal cheeses and crackers are included along with a Riedel glass tasting that will make you question the power of a glass…even in the dark.
