Free Speech & Race Speaker Series: The Sound of Silence

February 22, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

This event is presented to you in collaboration with DePaul Richardson Library and Office of Institutional Diversity & Equity.

Silence is censorship’s goal; yet free speech often leads to rude, inflammatory, deceitful, and deliberately hurtful speech. Join James LaRue in asking whether support for the First Amendment means that one has to be a jerk. How can we honor our founding values, and move the conversation forward?
