Free Bresha: A Night of Abolitionist Art and Action

October 6, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Please join Lifted Voices and other allied groups as we join a national call to action to demand freedom for Bresha Meadows, a Black child who has been criminalized for defending herself and her mother against long term abuse. On October 6, we will raise our voices in solidarity with Bresha and exhibit works from the Restorative Poster Project — to highlight alternatives to the incarceration of youth, and all caged individuals.

For more on Bresha’s case: https://freebresha.wordpress.com/

The exhibit will start at 5:30pm, with artists and hosts present to discuss the RJ posters, and art created by community members to represent Bresha’s struggle. At 6:15pm, FM Supreme, Lifted Voices co-founder Tasha and others will share songs and other performance work in solidarity with Bresha and caged children everywhere.

We hope you can join us for this powerful night of performance, art and action.
