Jack Novak, Literary Manager
Jack studied theatre at Northwestern University, focusing on acting and playwriting. He has been working with Filament since 2008, and is currently directing the ensemble’s next production – From the Circle: Remembering the Earth through Folktales. Originally from San Diego, he has been in the Chicago area since 2005, and currently lives in Andersonville with a cat named ‘Marcel’ after Marcel Marceau.

Julie Ritchey, Artistic Director
Julie Ritchey is a co-founding member of the Filament Theatre Ensemble, where she currently serves as the Artistic Director. In addition to her work with Filament, she has worked with the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Summer Theatre of New Canaan, Northwestern’s National High School Institute (Cherubs), Northlight Theatre, and many others. She is a graduate of Northwestern University’s department of Performance Studies, and a proud member of the American Alliance of Theatre and Education.
