Don’t Miss Expo Chicago’s premier after party, EXTENDED! From the producers of Art on Track and presented in collaboration with Cureeo.com, EXTENDED promises to deliver the best of midwest established art! EXTENDED will showcase over 30 works in various media by local artists Jason Hawk, Eric Gushee, Rebecca Moy, Cole Pierce, Chris Silva, Glenn Wexler, Mauricio Ferero, Richard Shipps, Dennis Mathews, Ivan Garcia and heart s2e amidst a festive environment of live jazz, DJs, local bites and an open bar. Admission to EXTENDED is $10 per person or free with an Expo Chicago or Art on Track ticket. Works will be on display for one day only.
Come on over to the party, or better yet ride Art on Track (AoT), the world’s largest mobile art gallery first! This year Art on Track will run along the blue line from UIC/Halsted to Logan Square. If you’re not familiar with this unique art train, AoT transforms the interiors of a six-car train into site specific installations where the public is invited to board, engage and interact with the artwork. The 5th annual AoT will be curated by House of Frog (couture fashion boutique), Chicago Design Museum (pop-up design institution), T.A.R.T.(interdisciplinary arts group), Noisivelvet (arts advocacy organization) and Gallery B.1.e (community gallery). The train will be running for just one-day (Sept 22) from 5-10pm and can be picked up on any of its stops; Halsted/UIC, Clark & Lake, Damen and Logan Square. Tickets can be purchased on site or in advance at www.artontrack.com for $10.
