Documentary: An Honest Living

January 30, 2014 @ 8:15 pm - 10:00 pm

An Honest Living is an independent feature documentary that follows four Chicago based artists as they reveal how they dance the line between artistic passion and the need for commerce.

Burlesque dancer Wham Bam Pam shimmies through a bar crowd in a sexy feline costume to the boisterous delight of her fans; by day she’s a financial analyst. College math professor Torres focuses on the blackboard by day; by night he’s busting boards in his own martial arts studio. Director Freese profiles four Chicago-based artists with day jobs and after-hours careers, including fine arts painter George Sotos and drummer Rick Neuhaus. Creating your own dream job is the theme of this savvy exploration of the world of paycheck vs. passion. HDCAM
