Join us for a screening of the film DEAR WHITE PEOPLE, followed by a talk back and Q&A with Writer/Director, Justin Simien. He will discuss his experience conceptualizing the film, navigating Hollywood, and the role and responsibility he has taken on as a storyteller of color.
This free event will take place in the Performance Hall of the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts. Seating is limited; it is first come, first served.
This screening is being presented by Connect-the-Dots as part of gRACE: a graceful dialogue on race, a 3-day event in which Chicagoans are invited to come together to dissect, empathize, heal, and begin the process of re-imagining the story of race we live out every day.
