This documentary showcases the National Indigenous Festival of Jayuya that honors the Taino Indians. It also sheds Light on the two political revolutions that have taken place in Puerto Rico: Grito de Lares, against the Spanish Regime, and the Nationalist Revolution, on October 30, 1950 against the North American Regime. The patriots had no military experience and their weapons were rudimentary, but they were moved by their claim to independence and the desire to call attention to Puerto Rico’s colonial situation.
