Peru is at the epicenter of a new culinary revolution. A revolution that is creating chefs, entrepreneurs, restaurants and consumers and has an army of over 80,000 young people who have chosen to study gastronomy. At the head of this revolution stands world renowned chef Gaston Acurio. In this documentary, Acurio takes longtime friend and equally influential chef Ferran Adria (Barcelona’s El Bulli Restaurant) on a tour of Peru’s culinary and cultural history and reveals how the country’s cuisine can and will change the lives of a new generation.
