Opening night film! Eddie Moretti in person!
The Fourth Dimension
Thursday, May 31, 8:00 pm
Welcome back again to the beguiling and bizarre world of the Chicago Underground Film Festival (May 31-June 7). Has it really been a year since our last festival? Are we really approaching two decades of doing this? Our sense of time becomes a bit skewed as festival season approaches.
It is with great pleasure that we introduce this year’s slate of experimental, documentary and narrative films. The festival opens on May 31 with the Chicago premiere of THE FOURTH DIMENSION, an international anthology feature conceived by Vice Media’s Eddie Moretti and Harmony Korine. Who’d ever have thought Val Kilmer would have a starring role in a film playing at CUFF? Not us, that’s for sure! From this international opener we move closer to home with our Sunday night closing feature, the world premiere of Chicagoan Lindsay Denniberg’s VIDEO DIARY OF A LOST GIRL, a fantastic neon-colored ode to vintage VHS and expressionist horror.
