CAFÉ TACVBA Release New Song – “DISOLVIÉNDONOS”

The Song Is A New Preview Of The Band’s Upcoming Studio Album Available This Spring; It Follows The New Years Day Single “Futuro.”

Mexican alternative icons Cafe Tacvba have released a new psychedelic song “Disolviéndonos.” The song is a reflection about the impossibility of permanence, an internal journey to understand that the present is not forever. The band’s experimental new song is more than 6 minutes in length.

“Disolviéndonos” was written by vocalist Rubén Albarrán and produced by their longtime partner Gustavo Santaolalla in Ocean Studios in Burbank, California. Drums were recorded by Joey Waronker (Beck, REM, Atoms for Peace, Johnny Cash and the band’s collaborator on their album ‘Cuatro Caminos’).

Can you hear the fall of the old tree in the lonely forest? Is everything forever? Is a dream more absurd than this that we call reality? Those are just questions that, little by little, become nothing because there isn’t a true response,” Albarrán says.

‘Disolviéndonos’ is a song that invites us to take a deep trip — a poetic path where, through the vocals, instruments and the very diverse musical arrangements, slowly, loses its shape,” Santaolalla adds.

The new song follows the New Years Day single “Futuro.”

Both songs preview the group’s new album which will be available this spring. The album will be their first release since “El Objeto Antes Llamado Disco” in 2012, which was nominated for a GRAMMY in the “Best Latin Rock, Urban, Alternative Album” category and won a Latin GRAMMY for “Best Music Video – Longform.”
