Omar Valencia and Luna Yañez, co-partners of Oxalá (oh-sha-lah), an eclectic art gallery & gift shop, located in Chicago‟s Pilsen community. Valencia and Yañez, will host “Stop It’s Tea Time.” – a new & fun experience of playing “dress-up” and learning the art of enjoying tea.
Starting on Sunday, February 12th, 2012 at 10am – the partners will launch a Pre-Valentine’s Sunday Brunch. And on Tuesday, Valentine’s Day, they host “Amor is Tea for Two” – a special reservation only brunch –from 11am-9pm. A set-menu of gourmet entrees and pastries will be served, crafted by pastry chef, Katie Moreno. Tea will be served with each entrée, and includes two flavors of cupcakes:fiery red velvet and almond bliss. All teas are organic. Also available, are exotic flowering teas, allowing each couple to experience “love in a cup”.
Valencia took what was once his own personal art studio, and transformed it into a French-inspired tea lounge/café – playing 1920‟s jazz, and offers lady guests scarves and hats to wear while attending tea time.
