A Study of Nahuatl – Aug

//Not your average language course… join us at Matinuahkalli for an in-depth study of the Nahuatl language, one of the many native languages of Mesoamerica that spanned from the southwest of the United States throughout Mexico down into Guatemala.

We will be learning about the three levels of Nahuatl: daily Nahuatl, reverential Nahuatl, and ceremonial Nahuatl. We will be learning vocabulary and basic syntax, yes, but will also go deeper to understand the conceptual semantics and symbolism of the language in all its levels.

This course is open to anyone with little to no experience with Nahuatl but especially for those who want to understand the language from its roots.

//About the teacher:
Akaxe Yotzin comes from a long line of Nahuatlacas. He first learned Nahuatl from his grandmother and continued his study with various teachers in Mexico. He has dedicated his life path to preserving, applying and sharing the Toltekatl knowledge, physical disciplines, arts and philosophies.
