2014 Sor Juana Festival- Las Cafeteras

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Sor Juana Festival. The festival is dedicated to Mexico’s great Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz known as “La Decima Musa”, the Tenth Muse. Sor Juana (1651-1695) was a great poet and philosopher. The Sor Juana Festival has a special emphasis on primarily presenting women in the arts from both sides of the border. Sor Juana is known as the First Feminist of the Americas!
