Fleurotica 2010

Now for the twist that separates this fashion show from the others: clothing and accessories are made primarily from flowers, plants, leaves, and nature.  Picture birds’ nest hairdos held together with twigs and branches, orchid pedals flowing down models’ backs, and dresses and garments made from Mother Nature’s beautiful offerings. Fleurotica promises to dazzle the most enthusiastic fashionistas as well as the most dedicated floral enthusiasts with stylish stems and voguish visuals. To make the event even more appealing, Fleurotica’s ticket sales and proceeds are intended to raise money for programs and activities run by the Garfield Park Conservatory. Tickets are $100 for the reception and $175 for the reception and runway show.
