If you haven’t heard of the band Tailor for Penguins it’s because they’re relatively new.
Their debut album When We Were Older, which was released this year on Mushroom Pillow, was recorded in La Casamurada (Barcelona) and produced by Jim Spencer who is known for his work with Charlatans, Johnny Marr, New Order, Oasis and Echo & The Bunnymen, among others. The band’s newest single is Translation and is part of a new ad campaign sponsored by Spain’s National Soccer Team.
When We Were Older is a charming debut album featuring a delightful selection of catchy, engaging and uplifting pop songs with the most beautiful of choruses. It feels like summer at home and the kind of music you seek simply to feel better. I devoured the entire album in one listening session and felt like walking on clouds right after. It makes you feel good.
