Even though summer’s heat continues to blaze, it is time to start thinking about the new trends for the chilly fall season, which will surely arrive in no time. The annual Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama is back! And this year’s theme is Fashion in a New Light.
The event will be held at the Harris Theater at Millennium Park on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 8 p.m. Proceeds are benefitting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI).
The audience will experience a show compiled with the best fashion and production Macy’s has to offer. According to the press release, models will present before a “visually stimulating and musical backdrop,” revealing the newest designs for the season from designer labels such as: Diesel, RACHEL Rachel Roy, Tommy Hilfiger, WEEKEND Max Mara, and the first glance at Maison Jules—Macy’s newest addition to the Impulse collection.
Headlining the event will be the famous singer, songwriter, record producer and musician Sheryl Crow, followed by a wowing! performance by Cirque du Soleil with its Las Vegas productions. And what would Glamorama be without the winner of the Macy’s iHeart Radio Rising Star contest? Punk rock group The Summer Set will also perform.
Of course, the fun does not end there! The celebration continues well into the night with an “illuminated after party” at the Rooftop Terrace in Millennium Park, where guests can relax, mingle and lounge, get playful with “over-the-top” activities and savor a variety of culinary treasures.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.macys.com/glamtickets, the Harris Theater box office or by calling 312-334-7777. Ticket prices for the show only are $75. They are $175 and $285 for the show and after party and $1,000 for VIP show and after party.
