Gozamos » a spotlight on Chicago community and culture

Alex Rueda Marketing will be holding its first cultural expo of a series of Mexican cultural events titled, “Paraisos Escondidos” which will reflect traditions of the town or region to be presented. Only hidden “unmarketed” and remarkably paradises will be presented, making this series like no other.

It will be a great opportunity for Mexicans of new generations and people of all cultures to discover and re-discover cultures so close to home. The cultural expo will take place in the newest and most modern building structure in the Southside of Chicago, in Little Village, most commonly known as the Mexican Capital of the Midwest.

“Sonora en Chicago” will be the theme of the first event that will initiate this event series. Sonora is one of the 31 states which, with the Federal District, comprise the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. Sonora is located in Northwest Mexico, bordered by the states of Chihuahua to the east, Baja California to the northwest. To the north, it shares the U.S.–Mexico border with the states of Arizona and New Mexico, and on the west has a significant share of the coastline of the Gulf of California.
