Jose Luis Pardo, lead guitarist and song writer for our favorite Venezuelan funk band Los Amigos Invisibles, also known as DJ Afro, releases his debut solo album, Free, available today. A compelling compilation of opera, jazz, Latin beats and melodic dance tracks meet disco chorals, Free will groove you into bed and keep you bumping all night long. “La Rata,” a cumbia cha cha featuring Venezuelan, Gianko rings with New York street life. “Recuerdos,” featuring Pedro Perez, sounds like a cross between funk and Fangoria. Easy listening and the occasional dance track will definitely set you Free.
