CHICAGO – Navy Pier® is proud to partner with the City of Chicago on the Fourth of July in presenting a fireworks extravaganza that promises to make this year’s Independence Day more fun, festive and familyfriendly than ever before. Not one, not two, but three simultaneous fireworks shows will light up the lakefront at three separate locations, including Navy Pier.
In an effort to bring the City of Chicago’s Independence Day celebration to even more neighborhoods, the NEW Fourth of July fireworks show on Sunday features displays on Chicago’s north and south sides, in addition to downtown. There will be NO traditional July 3 Independence Eve fireworks presentation in the downtown area and there will be NO Saturday, July 3 fireworks at Navy Pier.
Navy Pier will launch downtown’s fireworks at 9 p.m. on July 4. Simultaneous fireworks shows will launch on the north side lakefront, with prime viewing from Foster to Montrose, and on the south side lakefront, with prime viewing from 63rd Street to Promontory Point.
